Guess We're just to lazy...

...To inform you that the party is postponed until further notice.
Why?
Because we suck at advertising. Plan for New Years though.

Big Update-ness Part 2

Okay so for this installment of "Big Update-ness" we have ticket prices!!

$15 - Pre-Order Single System
$16 - Pre-Order Multi System/Console
$17 - Door Single System
$18 - Door Multi System/Console

And for those of you who wish to lend hardware for the sole use of KTP during the duration of the LAN party:

$10 - Donors/Lenders of Equipment

YAY! Aren't you happy??
Anyways (gotta love that word), here are instructions on how to pre-order tickets!

1. See that button to your right that says "PayPal"? Click that.
2. Pay the appropriate amount. (To qualify as a donor you must have previously donated $10 or alerted us that you are planning on lending equipment)
3. Send an e-mail to ktpadmin@gmail.com stating:
  • payment number
  • amount paid
  • what kind of ticket you would like
  • your name
  • and the last four characters on your drivers license, credit card, or some other sort of ID
4. We will send back a .jpg file which will be the picture of your ticket which you print and present at the LAN party.
5. Or if you don't feel like doing any of this then just pay door prices in cash. Which is probably easier.

Stay tuned for the next installment...

XBox Lovers

For all you that love to play XBox games (Halo mostly) we encourage you to come and play as well as people with computers. People can bring whatever console their soul desires, Wiis, XBox 360s or even PS3s. Keep in mind though this is mostly a PC LAN party and that bringing multiple units costs an extra dollar in ticket price.

Unit = a single console or PC

Big Update-ness Part 1

ANYWAYS... so we had a meeting on Memorial Day. So here is the list as it is currently.
  • CounterStrike: Source
  • Battlefield 2
  • Battlefield 2142
  • Unreal Tournament G.O.T.Y. Edition (The Original)
  • Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory (Free)
  • F.E.A.R. (Free)
Those are the PC games we will be playing. Honestly you have no excuse to not have the free games unless your computer can't handle them. (Seriously... I gave you the links) As for console goodness here's what we have.
  • Super Smash Bros. Melee
  • Halo 2
  • Misc Party Games
Various Mods will be played as well. Mostly just Garry's Mod and Battleracer.

Currently we still would prefer some more managed ports, if you can help with this then contact us.

As for food... bring your own you bums... as for drinks... bring your own you bums... but no drugs or alcohol. You will be kicked if we find alcohol or drugs on the premises. Smoking is allowed outside the main building (25 feet required by law).

More updates to come as more is figured out.

An Update

Hey there guys,

Haven't given any updates for awhile so ya...
Anyways, my computers all up and running now and it is pretty cool. One of my two 7600 GTs died so I bought this baby. The second picture is Kim getting owned with it.

Anyways my 7600 GT will be up on craigslist when i get the chance and I'll be selling the fan from the fried card along with it. (Fan is in perfect condition)

We have ticket prices set-up earlier we'll post them on here and eventually set-up a pre-order system once we have the prices finalized.

That's just about all.

LAN Party

Hello everyone,
I have found a place to have the LAN party this summer. Right now we have a room on the 21st of July. The place is in Woodinville, WA and it seems to be a great place. I am going to go by there soon and check it out to see if they have every thing that we need. I am really excited about this because it looks like this is going to work out!!!!!

4.10.2007

A Set Date?!?

Kim phoned me about 3 hours ago, and it is now official; we have a venue! Anyways, all I will tell for now is that we're currently looking at July 21 somewhere in Woodinville. More details to come...

The New Rig

I just finished ordering everything for my new rig yesterday morning, and i now have the final specifications on the thing. They are as follows:

Case: APEVIA X-Plorer ATXB8KLW-YL
Power Supply: ULTRA XFINITY 600 Watt SLi Ready
Motherboard: ASUS P5N32-SLI Premium
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 Conroe 1.86GHz
Memory: 2x 1gB DDR2 667 mHz
Video Cards: 2x PNY nVidia 7600GT 256 mB (Running SLi)
OS: Windows XP Professional SP2

Pretty much the very second Crysis comes out I'm going to be playing it full settings like a dream on this thing. Not to mention every other game I own. If you check out the motherboard I'm getting it's just about one of the most upgradeable boards ever, not to mention it supports Quad-SLi and quad-core CPU's. Next time I upgrade (2-4 years from now) I'll probably be heading either dual 7950's or whatever in the 8 series is currently out that I can afford, as well as a better processor, but that's a long ways off.

For now, the games I'm most looking forward to running on this thing are Crysis, Spore, BF2142, Quake Wars: Enemy Territory, and perhaps World in Conflict if I have that much money.

FOR ROHAN!! or whatever place you're supposed to be from (I personally am from Mirkwood)

Well LOTRO has been going well so far... We've almost convinced Kim to buy it.
oh and Adam's a Pimp

4.01.2007

Look what I got!

I just got these two for $150. They're PNY Nvidia 7600 GT 256 mB. I'll be running them on SLi once my new motherboard comes in.

O RLY?

No particular reason I'm posting this... By the way Sprinkles is the one in the embarrassing pose, this is what we do to him in Garry's mod when he's AFK. That's Kim beside him. What he's riding is what I like the call, the apocalypse explosive scorpion cow.

3.30.2007

Sprinkles, not just for donuts and cupcakes.

As I have nothing really to say for my first post I would like to show you a screen shot I took of a certain [KTP] member a while ago in a sandbox server for BF2...

BATTLERACER 2142!

Elxx just announced Battleracer 2142 is almost ready for public release! By the way, you can bet this is added to the mod games list.

[KTP] Videos

I would like to let everyone know that we have a few different videos on have on youtube.com. If you would like to find them you can subscribe to our channels.

KTPpossible is mine and adamje4242 is [KTP] adamje42's channel. Have fun watching them!!!

Hello

THE LIST (currently)

Okay anyways we pretty much already have a list that will be available to be played at the LAN party/parties this will most likely change as we ourselves get into more stuff but so far it covers most of the major games out there right now.

  • Counter-Strike 1.6
  • Counter-Strike: Source
  • Battlefield 2
  • Battlefield 2142
  • Unreal Tournament G.O.T.Y. Edition (The original)
  • Halo 2 (Maybe 3 depending on final date(s) on what consoles people bring)
We also plan on playing mods at the parties, so in case you don't have them, but you find them interesting, I'll give you the links, names, and engines the mods we play use.

These lists may be added onto at any time, if they are someone will make sure to notify everyone. Other games not listed here are party games using consoles, hopefully if all goes well we will have Guitar Hero, DDR, Mario Party or whatever else we can get our hands on. These games will be the ones used on the projector when it's not already showing a scoreboard. If we're lucky Super Smash Bros. Brawl will be out sometime before the first party. Depending on whether or not it will support self-hosting WLAN we may even see if we can get multiple Wiis playing with each other. Anyways... I'm done talking.

3.27.2007

Hardware!

So now I'm going to discuss the hardware we already have designated for our LAN party purposes. All this hardware will be at the LAN parties and but to full use as much as we can manage.

First up our 1024x768 ViewSonic Projector.
http://viewsonic.com/products/projectors/pj458d/
This will most likely be used to project scoreboards of the game being most played at the time, as well as console gaming on whoever draws the shortest straws system.

Next up is our D-Link 24 Port Switch 10/100 mB with 2 gB ports for servers. This will of course be used to link everyone together. The server ports are very nice as well.

Other items we also have are:
  • Intel 16 Port Switch 10/100 mB
  • 3Com 5 Port Switch 10/100 mB
  • 2 15" CRT Monitors
  • 1 21" CRT Monitor
  • 1 Microsoft XBox
  • 1 Nintendo Wii
Anyways that's our current hardware we have ready. We're currently taking any donations for the cause and we're looking for a place to host the events for 12-15 hours per event. We're also looking for sponsors to help pay for the event in exchange for free advertising and exclusive use of products.

Welcome!

So this is the first blog posting for KTP. Anyways in case you didn't already know, KTP is a clan based around BF2142, CS:S, and Garry's Mod. Our main goal is to provide gamers in the Seattle area with a public entry LAN parties that will be moderately priced with 30-50+ gamers. Anyways more updates to come as well as some more info on the clan itself.
